Maybe because they didn't see the value they were hoping for? Or they didn't shoot as well with it as they thought they would?

If they weren't so great, they'd be cheaper!

What is your definition of "loads"? I see them pop up frequently but something for sale second hand is not a direct relationship of how "amazing" the item is or is not.

Like everything in life, nothing is as good or as bad as people make them out to be.

TRPs are great guns, but they're not for everyone.

Because you can shoot a cheap plastic gun just as good?

                  Because 45 ammo costs more?

Because 1911s require a brain to keep running and aren't for people who can't change the windshield wipers on their car?

This. SA sells a lot of TRPs. I don't think that them showing up in the marketplace is any indication that they suck. The more of them you sell, the more show up on the marketplace.

It's like a car. The more of that model gets sold, the more will be for sale on the used market.

This could be for any number of reasons. Doesn't mean that just because they go up for sale means that they are bad. Also, 45ACP isn't cheap to shoot. bulk 5.56 costs about the same per round. Also, someone may decide they would rather have 1-2 other guns and extra ammo for the same cost as a TRP. And some people just may not like 1911s

Absolutely loved my TRP and never though I'd sell it. Ended up buying a Pro and just didn't feel the need for two 5" 1911's so I sold it. I suspect that there are others that may do the same and its just a matter of upgrading. There are a lot of Loaded's in the marketplace too, sold mine to fund the TRP. IMO, for the $1,200 that they can be had for in the marketplace here, there is no better 1911.

A lot of people I talked to who are selling their TRPs are usually selling it to finance a Pro.
