Shield Mags drop free?

Does anyone else have issues with 9mm Shield mags not dropping free when empty?

Neutered CA model with mag disconnect, LCI, safety. It is still new, only put 300 rounds so far.

I did have an issue at first. The problem was the mag hitting my palm. I adjusted my grip a bit when releasing the mag and problem solved.

It could be dragging on the mag disconnect. This has been "reported" in a S&W specific forum.

My Shield has no such impairments and all mags drop free.
