    CZ75D throwing brass too far.

Love my new PCR, but, it's throwing the brass 20ft! Is it possible the factory put the wrong recoil spring in?
I don't want to throw the timing off but wonder if a heavier spring is in order. Anyone else have this issue?

Change the spring or used lighter ammo.

It should throw it; twenty feet is not very far. The weapon is designed to function reliably, and one aspect of that is to remove empty cases in a forceful manner. Saving brass, reloading, and otherwise care for empty cases is of no concern to the manufacturer. Their job is to produce a reliable weapon, not to make neat, convenient piles of empty cases for us reloaders to pick up.
If the weapon functions, do not change anything.

It does put it in a nice little pile, just some distance away. My other weapons throw less than half the distance. Loving CZ.

Thats normal, You could put a heavier recoil spring in to reduce it.

The 97b spits pretty far. Maybe it needs to be broken in?

Switch to a Glock, it will dribble them out to your feet, after hitting you in the head.

20ft is not that far, sounds typical to me.

Would you rather the brass dribble out?

There are guns that eject the brass 30+ feet away and some that also mangle the brass.

Thanks for all the answers. Affirmative about Glock hitting me in the forehead.
