    Selling your Glock slide

So I recently purchased a G17 and got a Zev slide and barrel for it. I really don't have use for the original slide and barrel and wanted to know is it safe selling them because they have my guns serial number on it?

Totally legal to sell. The lower frame is the "registered" part, that IS the firearm.

Should have been more clear. Not ALL firearm lower receivers are considered the "gun". Glock's however, is one of the many where the lower receiver is the gun and requires an FFL for transfer.

I understand but the slide and barrel has the same serial number on it that means who ever buys it will have my serial numbers.

Ok??? If you are going to lose sleep over it, just keep it. It is not illegal to sell. Decision is yours.

I always keep the original parts, just in case I want to make it original again. Just a personal thing with me.

I have a three Glock uppers (OEM slide and barrel). So I have the serial numbers of three people's Glock frames out there in the world somewhere. Legal and they work great. I don't think anyone is losing sleep over it.

What if OP's barrel ends up in a homicide?

As a small safety net, if you sell it on ebay that is your paper trail that you sold it. Ship it with signature required. Although fees, fees and more fees.

I'd keep it if I were you.

What if you sold your gun in the future? Some wouldn't care for the Zev slide and barrel plus a Glock is cheap enough as it is as a whole gun. How much do you really expect to get?

                              I'm with Team KEEP too.

I'm old enough to know that I haven't kept everything I ever owned. When it comes to selling the gun, the Glock is worth X amount, the ZEV parts are worth Y amount. When you sell it as a unit, you won't get X+Y. Selling them, separately, you will.
