    Just bought this ruger

Maybe you are not a cowboy revolver fan, but I am. I enjoy single action shooting (at targets, of course). So I bought this guy today.

It's in 45 colt. Can't wait to bring it home.

That's not your average Ruger cowboy revolver.

      Very classy yet functional.
      You have chosen wisely.

The Bisley style grip is much better for controlling recoil than the Blackhawk grips.
There's more to hang onto and the load is spread of a larger area of the hand.

        Looks great in stainless!

That's a really nice gun. The kind I'd like to have on my hip on a big cattle ranch.

I really like the grip. I also have it in 45 colt but with the standard black handle

Very nice. That pearl type handle would like nice inside a black or dark western rig holster.

Many years ago, I didn't know what a Bisley was until I was browsing in a gun shop & asked to look at a Ruger Bisley in 45 Colt. No other SA grip fit my hand but that Bisley fit perfect. It turned out to be a surprisingly accurate revolver - cloverleaf groups at 25 yds.

I just bought a New Model Vaquero 45Acp/LC, can't wait till I can shoot it.
Sold my 45 LC Vaquero years ago, it was to expensive to shoot. The ACP round should help out with the cost.

My son and I each bough one last year, like them very much. I did have an issue with the cylinder bolt, the little thing that locks into the cylinder notches, being very sharp on the edge, actually cutting into the cylinder. I carefully broke the sharp edge with a stone and polished the contact areas with a Dremel. I have training and enough common sense not to overdo it. I recommend you check that before cocking with the hammer. P.M. me if you like and I'll take some pix to show you what to look for and do.

Nice 6 shooter you got there! Ruger revolvers will last you a lifetime. The single actions will last you 4 lifetimes.

Nice choice there. The Ruger Bisley grip is an improvement of the Colt grip.
