    CZ SP-01 Tactical

Hey guys, I have a few questions,

Since the CA DOJ website is down I cannot check to see whether the CZ SP-01 Tactical is on the CA approved roster, is it made available for purchase for us here in CA? If so, does it have that dumbass magazine disconnect safety?

Also, what is the retail price on one of these? and is it worth it?

Lastly, if you own one can you please post some pictures and tell me how you like it? Do you recommend getting one and why. I'm considering selling off my Beretta M9 to buy one, if it's legal to buy here in CA.

The CZ SP01 tactical is not on the roster, only the manual safety model in 9 mm is.

The CZ SP-01 Tactical is not on the CA handgun roster. I personally prefer the SP-01 with manual safety and this one is on the roster.

Of course it is... Thanks for the reply. Are there any other CZ models that are similar in aesthetics, size, caliber and with night sights that we can buy while behind enemy lines, I.e; California?

The CZ SP-01 basic version is the same pistol with no decocker, avail in CA

if you want the decocking feature in CA get the CZ 75-BD or one of the compacts CZ P-01, or the CZ PCR

or you can wait to find one via PPT

Is this the model that's approved for sale in CA? http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-75-sp-0...ts-18-rd-mags/

Also, how much are they here in CA? I know CZ's website says $680, but sometimes LGS tend to inflate their prices.

Yep thats it. The CA version model starts with a 0.

Ive seen them go anywhere from $600 to $750. Depends if CZ did a production run on them to boost inventory out there.

Contact CG member Baboosh, he seems to have inventory when others don't, and prices are low enough that even with a transfer fee you'd still be in line with some LGS prices.

SP-01 w/Manual safety is a wonderful gun. I have one on my nightstand every night when I lay me down to sleep.

If you really want the de-cocker, the P-01 would be a great choice. Not a full size, but very easy to shoot well.

Really doesn't matter, once you get one it's just a matter of time 'til you get the other(s).

The Sp01 manual safety comes with night sights.

Yep. I'm gonna get one, as soon as I am able to sell my PSA 11.5" upper, Glock and Beretta lol

I got mine for $650 plus tax and dros from Riflegear. They were having a sale and sold out within a few hours.

Wow! With over 2000 posts, over 100 iTrader rating and a member for almost 6 years and you are just now looking into CZ's? I guess better late than never.

If you want a decocker model, the only CZ available is 75BD or P01. If you are use to cocked and locked, it's best to just buy the SP01 safety version. I highly recommend the SP01 and when you ever want to upgrade, you can send it out to Cajun Gun Works or CZ Customs for upgrades. You can always upgrade the sights to night sights on the 75BD or P01 or just install a light on the P01.

P01 has an aluminum frame with picatinny rail and is compact and would make a great HD gun. SP01 is great for HD as well as for a target gun or competition.

audiophil2 has these for $630 shipped to your FFL (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1145910) and Baboosh has them for sale quite often
