Great CS - Kudos to...

I purchased a Ruger SR1911 commander from a fellow Calguner. With the gun came everything but the included Ruger soft case (gun rug). Went to shopruger.com to buy the soft case but it is not listed.

Called Ruger, told them I purchased a used SR1911 and would like to buy the black OEM case that comes with the gun but it isn't listed on their site. Nice gal on the under end of the line offered to send me a complimentary OEM soft case. I did insist on paying for it but she declined the offer. She took my name and address & today she forwarded to me a USPS tracking number to keep tabs while en route.

Granted, I own several other Ruger firearms but she didn't know that when her offer was given. THAT....is how customer service is done. The rug may cost Ruger a few dollars but in a day when manufacturers look to suck the consumer dry for every penny, a kind gesture extended will not be forgotten.

I've had excellent customer service every time I've called Ruger, unlike some custom gun makers.

A few years back, I had some issues with my SR45. After a few trips back and fourth from Ruger, they were unable to fix the problem. They offered to upgrade my SR45 to a SR1911... but alas, not on the roster :/ They cut me a check for what I paid for the SR45 out the door.

Hands down, one of the best customer service departments I've come in contact with.

I like Ruger CS. Just wish they made their products that didn't require us to have to use it so much
