    Omega Gun Lock Operation?

Just asking if anyone has experience using these on a 45acp.

I have one but I can't seem to get the slide back in place completely most of the time, because I noticed the extractor is still behind the gun lock.

The directions and video make it too simple by just racking, placing it in then closing slide and locking.

I diverted from the directions by putting it in an empty magazine and it actually properly fed and had extractor grab it, then I could close slide 100% to lock then release the magazine. Not sure if that could later cause wear. But it now enabled the slide to no longer rack or open as advertised.

Maybe the gun is tight at the moment?

Do not debate on using or not using gun locks, I am just asking strictly about operation of this device.

Assuming this is on your Colt Commander, you should check your extractor tension.

I'll look into to that, I was previously chambering it with no magazine in place and thru eject port, then closing slide.

Yeah, don't do that. Perfect way to hose your extractor. Just readjust your extractor and from now on let it pick the lock up from the mag.
