    Glock 43 trigger question

At the range a few days ago and another shooter had a g42 and g43.

I shot the G43... And the trigger felt sharp.

When I looked at the trigger, it seems that the safety sticks out maybe 1mm further than on the 380 version and the G17 and that the trigger is tapered and grooved, not smooth/ flat as on the .380 model and G17

Is this how all the G43's trigger come of is the serrated / beveled an option?

G43 2nd from right was mine. Trigger was heavy but manageable. The trigger pull on first one from right with polished internals felt better. We shot 200+ rounds without a hiccup and kept most shots in the black at 15 yards offhand.

I don't own one, but recently read about "finger bite/biting" from the triggers. Some people have filed those down.

I have 2, not an issue. But the trigger is heavier than other glocks.

I have noticed most all subcompact glocks have heavy trigger. My G42 and G43 glocks also have heavy trigger, but I do not mind at all.

                  It did not feel heavier...

It felt sharper to me as the trigger has serrations and the safety did not go flush when you engaged the trigger....

I am guessing for a defensive pistol that is tiny they want to ensure and pressure on the trigger disengages the safety...

The serrated trigger on the 43 is to meet the import requirements for a compact gun which the 42 does not need since its made in the USA.

I believe you can simply replace the trigger with the smooth one. I also don't like the serrated trigger

Good point! ATF calls a smooth trigger a combat trigger, and a serrated trigger is a target trigger - which is worth two points for import qualification. Just another nonsensical backdoor gun control law for you.

You can change it out for the smooth one http://www.glockforum.com/forum/f16/...trigger-42290/

Mine doesn't feel any sharper than any of my other Glock triggers, but the pull weight as issued was nearly 7 lbs. and made my fingertip go numb after just a few rounds; to fix it I installed a Ghost connector. That brought it down to a manageable 5 lbs and now my trigger finger is comfortable no matter how many rounds I shoot.

I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!
