Glock Trigger: Pyramid or Zev Fulcrum

This is a tired subject, I'm sure, but the trigger on my new Glock 17 leaves something to be desired. I've tried the 25 cent spit shine and 3.5 connectors (the pull and reset have drastically improved), but the trigger is still not as crisp as I would like. I guess I'm 1911 spoiled.

With that said, anyone have any insight/ experience with the pyramid trigger, or Zev Fulcrum?

I have the zev ultimate in my G26, I love it. I have no comparison to offer you otherwise. I have never tested the Pyramid live fire only dry fire at the gun shows. They both are smooth, I think the details are probably too minuscule to even notice in your shooting. Even the price point is the same. If you live in the SD area we can do a range day and I'll let you test mine out.

I've replaced all sorts of triggers in my glocks from TTI to occ triggers and wished I had spent all that money on training and ammo, my go to glock is a 17 w the stock trigger. I shoot them all the same, if you don't have good fundementals no trigger job in the world is get you to where you want to be. But that being said, try Orange County custom triggers, 60$ , nice reset , much less slack and a clean break at 3.5 lbs, just micropolished oem parts as well which I like

Well said! Brilliance in the basics!
Personally I found the the zev trigger to have a smooth pull all the way through, there's no wall like in the stock trigger. The reset is quick for follow on shots. It was everything I wanted and more.

The trigger on your G17 leaves something to be desired probably because you're a "self taught" shooter. Instead of dumping money into an aftermarket trigger to mask deficiencies, find a local USPSA A class or above, IDPA Expert or above and shoot with them for an afternoon. After that, ALL your triggers will be upgraded. Hardware upgrade < software upgrade.

My Wilson Supergrade 1911 shoots as well as my $500 Glock 17, because it's the same person shooting them.

I agree 100% with you, except for one thing. Almost all distinguished shooters I know use modified weapons to their personal specs to succeed in competition.
There's no substitute for training.

Yes mine did, what can I say about it? Very little as far as a firing pin goes it works just as good as the stock one, is it dater like they advertise, idk I can't measure that amount of time. I know I love my set up. It works for me every time.

I didn't need the skeletonized firing pin with mine. A Zev rep told me that the skeletonized pin is more for if you want to run the 2.5lb trigger race spring setup and even at that the skeletonized pin is not always needed.
