    HK VP9 vs Gen4 Glocks 9mm ( 19 and 17)

    Objective opinions? No such thing.

The VP9 will have a better trigger and better ergonomics but the Glocks will be simpler to detail strip.

The VP9 should prove extremely reliable and the Gen4 Glocks may have weak and erratic ejection including brass ejected toward the shooter's face. The ejection problems most likely can be fixed with Apex parts.

My VP9s are fine with just aftermarket sights. I always seem to have a much more extensive list of things I need to do before I'm happy with my Glocks.

    Either are great, usable options.

What I mean by an objective opinion , was that a prospective buyer can easily get either gun, with any kind of magazines . Also it would be a STRICTLY carry gun.

I own both a VP9 and Gen 4 Glocks. I've since sold all of my Glocks, not because I prefer Glocks but I prefer DA/SA since I will be looking to trade(for a 1911, HK45c or Sig, VP9 LE with 7 mags btw) the VP9 sooner or later as well. That being said the Glock will probably take more abuse and continue to fire. The VP9 has better ergos for me and a better SF trigger. The size difference between a G19 and VP9 is apparent however.

Get both, why limit yourself if you are roster exempt. You can probably get two new for the price of one on the calguns used market place. Sell the other for a profit if you decide you dont like it. Vp9 is like a corvette, and the glock is a camaro.

VP9 is more like a Volkswagen, the Glock Gen 4 is a Toyota Camry with a sports package.

I think the H&K has the edge in ergos and trigger, but the 19 is my opinion is the do all sized/capicity best pistol made.
And in light of Mac's review of the H&K makes me think Glock would win especially if you are underwater fighting zombie...

                    Far from a scientific test.

I wouldn't say it debunked anything besides "its okay to put your guns in mud." But okay...

I don't know, my guns are run over by cars and are thrown against steel all the time.

Since you're Roster Exempt you might consider the Walther PPQ 4 inch M1 and I like the Ruger LC9S Pro model. Both have incredible Triggers as well. Better than the G 19, about the same as the VP-9.

                          Be well

VP9 hands down. Have both. VP9 is smooth and comfortable. Love the MAG release too.
