Uberti/Cimarron 1872 Open Top Part Swapping Question

My next Single Action Revolver will be a 1872 open top in .38SPL.
IDEALLY, I'd like to swap the trigger guard and back strap for a nickel plated replacement. But I haven't seen any of the parts list show that that finish is available. I've only seen that the entire pistol is available in nickel if special ordered upon request.
But the MAIN question is about functionality/fitting:
Could I swap the factory ejector rod/rod head (half moon)
For the bullseye style, seen on the black powder frame SAA.

Attached are pictures of the ejector differences. And a (sloppy) photo shopped image of what the nickel TG & BS would look like on the 5.5in.

maybe too simple of an idea is to just have the original parts nickel plated.

To just send them to a refinishing shop?
I thought about it, but I'd send in the rest of my pistols too, because I can't stand the look of CCH, I wish the frame was blued. It would probably my be pretty expensive for three pistol frames

call Cimarron - not only dose an actual person answer the phone but they tend to be rather helpful

Replacing the half moon with a BP type is a fairly common modification. I suppose calling Cimarron is best, I'm certain enough that I'd buy the replacement. BTW, my "next revolver" was going to be a Cimarron open top 1860. I handled one at a LGS and was disappointed with the exterior finish and the action - not well polished and rough feel. I can take care of the rough action, but not the finish. I went with a Cimarron Colt SAA Cavalry model instead.
