    NAA Revolvers

I see that two of the little NAA revolvers are on the CA roster. However NAA also sells other models with 4" and 6" barrels. The 4" barreled "Earl" is 5 shot and lists an overall length of 7 3/4", the 6" barreled "HogLeg" version is 9 3/4" OAL. The CA single action revolver OAL to be roster exempt is 7.5". Am I missing anything - these two versions would be roster exempt?

Single actions that are long enough aren't listed because they don't have to be.

NAA only submitted 2 models to be tested so that is all you are going to see until they add more.

Understood - other than being OAL and capacity OK, these are exempt - I'm not missing anything, right? Maybe I haven't paid attention visiting LGS, but I don't recall seeing the Earl, HogLeg & other exempt ones from NAA. Limited appeal I suppose.

I have one of those in .22 Magnum, some years ago an industry rep was gifting them to friends, so what the heck I thought. After firing a few cylinders through it, the novelty quickly faded. I suppose it has a place, however I think it would be more interesting as a fashion accessory on a necklace.

Come on..... They are just plain fun to shoot every once in a while. I put a .22lr mini revolver on my CCW just in case I ever wanted to carry it.

The Gun Room in Elk Grove stocks the long barrel NAA revolvers.

I found a 3" Earl at a Lodi gun shop a few years ago. When I saw that the serial number was under 5 I bought it. Since it was a 3" they had trouble when they tried to clear it with the DOJ computer when I picked it up. It wasn't in the database. So they did some kind of manual entry that got it cleared. It is a real nice little shooter.

I think Elite Arms in Manteca stock the hog leg.

I'm hoping they submit the sidewinder to DOJ for testing. I'll upgrade if they do.

Good to know. I stop there enroute to BassPro, seems like a good shop.
