    Question about Ca approved handguns

I was reading the Kimber catalog and was interested in the Kimber Gold Combat RL II, with light rail. From the California approved list it's only showing the stainless version. I'm going to say that it's not for sale in CA since it's only listing the stainless version but I wanted to make sure. Does the approved handgun have to be listed exactly on the web site?

    Thanks,
    Rob

The DOJ has the option of requiring testing for stupid things like a difference of materials (stainless vs alloy, for example) and they havechosen to do so to extort gun companies out of more money.

So, to answer your question, you may ONLY get the one specifically listed non the website. Grips and night sights are of no consequence, however.

I was afraid of that, seems every model I like is not on the list for some little detail. Looks like the only option is the stainless version.

      Thanks,
      Rob

Even if its a different color but same material (ie. OD Green, Camo, "carbon fiber"). If it specifically lists a color then you're out of luck. I've been searching for a good CZ83 (.380) and a lot of them are stainless or two tone. But the only one on the roster is for a gloss blue finish. Damn that roster.

Unless you are an LEO. Cops are exempt from that "safegun" list!
