    1911 mag spring tention

I keep 6 rounds in 2 of my 1911 mags for home protection because i think if i keep them full it will weaken the spring. I would like to keep them full. What do you think
    THANKS

    Load them up.
Quality mags can stay loaded for years with no problems.
Besides, buying fresh springs every 5-10 years is cheap enough so it is not really an issue.

Load 'em up. Spring tension wears down from repeated tensioning/release, not as much from keeping pressure down.

And, as stated above, you can go years with fully loaded mags.
