12" groups at 7 yards (from your previous post)....yeah I don't think Cherry Balmz was a factor here.Link to my feedback: https://www.calguns.net/forum/market...ser-tradecraft -
I have two XD's and both are as accurate as I am.NRA Lifer

That's funny.
My old XD9 Service shoots like a dream and is accurate as hell.
No special grease... just a little CLP every few thousand rounds.- Rich

Post count? I sounds like that Otis LifeLiner treatment that's supposed to improve accuracy...If you need help with any stragglers, call a friend, because it's likely that they have a gun. America in particular have done exceptionally well taking care of the problem, as there are 1.12 guns for every 1 American citizen. So throw a rock, you'll probably hit a gun, pick up that gun, then shoot a zombie.Comment

^^^About 8 months ago or so I posted about having accuracy problems with the Springfield XD that I purchased for my wife. Everyone said it should be fine, but yet I was struggling with it. But I have an update on this, maybe it will help other XD owners.
After having the gun for a year, I spent a lot of time with the gun, cleaned it, I tested it, I verified everything and it shot like ****. I had rented several Springfield XD's before buying and they were all great. Then this one and totally disappointed (especially my wife, this was her gun).
Fast forward to a few months ago. I had been watching the Cherry Balmz for a while and ended up picking some up. Worked great on my 1911, both the .45 and the 22r versions I have. So I figured, let's try it on XD and see if it helps.
My wife and I took it to the range after greasing it all up. Man did it feel like a new gun, completely different, smooth, and accurate! My wife picked it up and fell in love with the gun!
So, if you have a Springfield XD that isn't shooting as accurate grease that pig up. And on the next note, if you need a GOOD grease, check out the CherryBalmz greases, they really are that good!
Grease has nothing to add to your accuracy. If you could not shoot your XD before, Wet or Dry, it simply means that you can not shoot worth a nickle. No disrespect meant and nothing to be ashamed of. But most folks can spit at the 10 ring and get a better pattern at 7 yards. Really, I am serious.
Secondly, What the heck is "Cherry Balmz". How/why did you choose that of all the magic cures in the gun lube market?? if you really need to grease a gun, just use regular Mobile bearing grease from the auto store. That will make you a sharp shooter.

Pops has an xd 45 that is one of my favorite handguns to shoot. Great shooter!

Ayee, all the doubters, I believe! Yes, lube will make a gun mechanically better, no doubt, no doubt. You hear people raving about using full synthetic Mobil 1 oil in their guns as well, because it's better than other brands like Castrol full synthetic by a wide margin, so different lube works! CherryBalmz works!
Hey, I also have this un-labeled shooter hydration water. It's also 100% safe to drink and pour on a hot gun to cool it down. It's going to improve 50 yard grouping and rapid fire by at least 25%. I have it on sale this week for the low introductory price of $19.19 for a 4 boxed case of any size. Calguns promo code: "IBlvInBS" for free shipping. How may bottle would you like to purchase from me?
Mail cash only, no refunds. Smaller bottles are better for run and gun, but I recommend the 20oz bottles, it's a super sized value. Go tactical with the bottle serrations are optional.

The big difference was that to get the 12" groups I had to work hard at it, my wife couldn't do anything with it. After grease, she is easily shooting 12" groups. And mine have dropped down to about 6". On top of that, the gun really FEELS different and smoother.
My normal gun is a Springfield 1911 .45 Loaded -- love this gun. But I also shoot my son's GSG 1911 .22LR and my Luger; both are good weapons. With these I have no problems getting a nice grouping -- about 6" without a problem. Thus why the XD was driving me nuts. We had rented many XD's before buying it, and never had a problem; when I got the XD my wife was so disappointed that it wasn't as nice as the ones we had been using. It was TIGHT, she had a hard time chambering the first round. This is no longer a problem now, it's very easy for her. The whole gun just feels better.
The whole point here is that everyone was telling me it was the shooter; guess what, it wasn't. I kept trying to tell myself it was me, I was screwing up, but I was determined to figure it out. I spent several trips to the range to give it a fair chance but every time I came home frustrated with it. I found the grease being talked about here and a few other places; people liked them a lot but I was very skeptical. Normally after cleaning I would use gun oil to keep things lubed up, it is good enough for my other guns. But after seeing someone else talk about it again, I figured I'd give it a shot before sending the gun back to Springfield. I'm glad I did, this was much easier.
I've only had guns for a few years, I'm learning all the time. This has made a huge improvement with this gun, going from a gun that we didn't want to shoot to a gun that she WANTS to shoot now. I figured that I would share what I found in hopes that maybe it would help someone else.
I don't claim that the grease will make you a better shooter, no, of course not. But if a gun isn't operating perfectly, it can have an effect on your performance. Basically just allowing the gun to operate as it should. That is all, nothing more. As I said above, now at least it shoots as accurate as the other guns I have.
I would have concluded that your XD was not performing as expected and therefore you lost your concentration due to frustration.
