Revolvers Roster, Uberti Python?
Tags: None -
I couldn't find anything on web, other than reoccuring "Uberti is making a Python replica" threads that eventually fade away ......
Most shooters don't see the inside of a revolver. I think if a replica was made it would do well so long as it was pretty as heck on the outside, which Uberti can probably do, and had a smooth, long DA pull. The Python used a frame mounted firing pin and that would seem to work well with a transfer bar system.
I'd wonder if they'd market it as their own distinct gun rather than a replica. Marketing it as a replica to a so currently made gun, of which there are plenty of "like new" still around, seems different than marketing a Schofield or the generic Colt 1873. Not many shooters know how an original Schofield locks up, pretty much everyone knows about the Colt older models "closed vault" lock up.Last edited by dfletcher; 12-31-2015, 2:03 PM.GOA Member & SAF Life MemberComment

Thanks for the search Fletcher, I too did a few searches and came up MT handed. I don't own a Uberti firearm yet but I have held a few SAA revolvers at BPS here in Rancho. They seem like a well built gun.It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.
Happiness is a warm gun.

If it looks familiar , do not worry , because it is the faithful replica of the legendary Colt Python , developed by FAP Pietta . The model will be called 1955 model P and provides for rods of 2.5 , 4, 6 and 8 inches.http://www.armietiro.it/la-replica-f...2015-armi-6367
Sorry I can't translate but there is a pic. Also it is just a rumor, Zero fact, since they said 2015 and haven't delivered....
This is the translation using google translate.Comment

I hear ya about cheesy second best. Just thinking even with all the OT I work $2500 is a lot of coin for a safe queen right now. I'd love to have one but... maybe when the roof, sewer line, and fences are fixed and the kids are....never mind. More OT it is.

Nothing I would ever be interested in. Just like buying into one of their recently produced off shore old time styled lever action rifles instead of me or you picking up a genuine American icon.Comment
