I use a lone wolf for my g20 and have had no issues at all. I'd buy one again.

I have Barsto, Lone Wolf, KKM and Storm Lake barrels on various Glocks. The main difference I see is in wear. The Barsto and KKM show practically no wear. The Lone Wolf barrel shows a little wear, but the Storm Lake looks like it went through a war. It shows extensive wear on the top and sides of the chambered portion of the barrel.

Of course, the main reason I switched to aftermarket barrels was to shoot lead bullets. They all serve that purpose and I've never really experienced any reliability issues.

I've got a storm lake threaded barrel on one of my G19s. Has run fine both suppressed and not.

I reading that as he dremeled the barrel rather than the slide.

Having slowed down and read that post again, I think you're right.

Yes and no. In principle, I agree and reloading is something I have on my list of skills to learn. Right now I don't have the time or safe space to commit to the project but should be able to in a few years.

I was reading another blog post by John Farnam discussing calibers with regard to current pistol demand. He's been in the industry 40+ years and obviously has some good contacts. He mentioned that many of the dealers he personally knows won't take .40 cal guns on trade anymore because they have a hard time selling them - 9mm is the hot caliber, with 45 some distance behind. 357 SIG way down the list and 45 GAP almost non-existent.

Hopeton- probably not. That's why I added the post; Farnam's observation is not what I wanted to hear but aligns with what you are saying about the calibers. Doesn't take much in parts to fully "9 mm-erize" the G22.

Lone wolf Barrels are very good for the money, fully supported chamber, cut rifling (safe to shoot lead) and if fitting to the hood is needed, use a file and go slow.
