HPs in Kimber Custom TLEII ~ GTG?

I'm picking up my first 1911 that is mostly a gift for me father next week for Xmas. It's a Kimber Custom TLEII. Anyone have ammo problems with this model? I'm sure there shouldn't be much problem with FMJs, but what HPs? Something like Federal Hydrashocks?

I already picked up Wilson Magazines to decrease mag issues.

Most modern guns should work fine with HPs. It's really a matter of finding out what works specifically with your particular gun.

I would break in the gun and the mags before trying out HPs.

You should have no issues with HPs.

If you're going for Federal, look into the HST instead of the Hydrashoks.

After break-in, get a box of all the good ammo: speer gold dot, Winchester Ranger, Remington Golden Saber and the HST are probably the most popular.

The Golden Sabers work very well in 1911's. Never had an issue with my Kimber. If you want to go cheap the Remington 100 pack HP's at Wally World work very well too. If I were you I would spend 15 miniutes polishing the feed ramp and breach face with chrome polish. I had a few problems with mine and this cured the FTF's I was having.
