Hey guy, was wondering what are some good Night Sights for my MC Operator, reason being I picked up the 1911 just last month, but didn't noticed it until I went home and cleaned the pistol.. My front sights wasn't glowing like they should.. I emailed SpringField about it.. They said just call CS and asked for a return number with shipping label.. Thinking about doing it.. But, wanted to see what are other good options.. I'm NOT into the fiber optic cable exposing type thing.. I Do like the H3 11 from Trijicon, but I don't know if it'll work due to SpringField has a different cuts on the sights..?? Any advice.. Thanks..

You can send your slide in to Springfield and they will turn it around in no time and have it back to you.
Or, you can do the same and have them install another type of sight of your choosing. Obviously, you'd be on the hook for that, but, Springfield has some awesome service.

+1 XS Big Dot Sights
That would be my recommendation as well. I have installed XS Big Dot Sights on all of my "social work" pistols. It is a fast sighting system for up close and personal distances, plus you can pick them up quickly in the dark. --1911ShooterPhil"A gun is a tool. I usually keep all my guns factory sight, but Warren tactical looks very promising.Comment

I'm guessing there free lol.. The First Lady I spoke to at SpringField, told me to take the gun, and fire a box of ammo or so, to see if it'll fix the prob.. I'm sure the sights are dead.. Could I be wrong..?? Plus I didn't even shoot a round thru it yet haha.. Just waiting for all my Wilson Combat internals to come in.. I just need the Trigger & Hammer and I'll be set..Comment

The best sights I have tried thus far are Heinie's straight eights with ledge. I don't have themail yet but I plan to get a pair of their tall suppressor sights for my 1911 and standard straight eights for my Glock 30.Comment

I've got the HD's on a 4" 1911 that is a carry gun and really like them. The rear is basically blacked out in lighted conditions because the tritium vials are so small. My 50 year old eyes pick up the yellow front quickly, and the rear has a nice ledge. IMO, the stock silver ring Novak's that come on SA's suck and are no better than blacked out sights.I'm digging these ones..

Base your sight choice on what you'll be using your gun for. I like tritium's for carry and fiber optic or gold bead for Range guns. If I owned an MC OP, I'd put a gold bead front and Heine rear or any other blacked out ledge.
Good luck with your choice.**** your feelings!Comment
