    Turner's Advertises the RUger SR9

It looks like the Ruger was approved by the CA DOJ. Turners has them in this weeks special for $499.

Just stop by this morning and check it out(two tone). I like the slim frame but the grip is a bit long(from web of my palm to my trigger finger). The slide is really stiff(could be because it's brand new) and the edge of slide is very sharp(almost cut my hand). Trigger is a bit better then sigma, but still hard and not smooth. I hate where its safety located at, and how stiff the safety was(again, could be because it's brand new).

No range report yet, though my range might have it soon.

Sound kind of harsh but because its price tag($500), I use XD or Glock as it's standard.

They're ****. We got a few of them in (two-tone, $479 I think), the trigger is the most horrendous thing I've ever felt. Probably worse than the S&W Sigma's. Slide's cycling is pretty rough; just a cheap all around feel. Stick to Glock/XD.

A tweaked rimfire maybe. But, I have to agree with you about their centerfire pistols.

I'd get one but you don't sell OLL.

How about getting an ad at the top of the page? I am tired of all your ad posts.

We're talking Turner's prices here and you know how inflated they can be. You can get them for $402 delivered here: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/p...ducts_id/52388

And that recall has been taken care of already. They added that wannabe Glock "safe action" trigger to it now.

                        I'm more concerned about this:

Won't know til I try one myself. But I got to give Ruger the benefit of the doubt since they took the plunge and submitted their design for DOJ approval(which really surprised me). I always thought no new handguns will ever make the roster because of their idiotic LCI and mag disco. requirements. I guess this company still thinks PRK gun owners are still worth selling new products to.

Good point, so +2 brownies point for being on the roster, -1 brownie for crap gun.

Seriously, the SR-9 Trigger makes the Sigma trigger feel like a Kimber Team Match.

With all this emulation of Glock, I have to ask: when will the patent on HK's P7 run out so others can start making them? I'd like to see more of that type of action than the DAO striker fired type. The major reason as far as I can tell that the P7 didn't get cranked out much more than it did was that it came too far ahead of the big CCW boom from the US. If what we have now, which is 40 out of 50 states being Right to Carry and permits being in the millions, were the case when it was being initially run, I'm inclined to think we'd have seen a lot more and even still see them being cranked out. Expensive to make, sure I know, but worth it, and with more people actually having use for the them as more than just a novelty(any pistol you don't carry is a novelty, to be bluntly truthful about it) there'd be a much greater draw for them.
