Right GP100 Match Champion Falling off roster?

So is there any hope that ruger will renew before experation?
I managed to get one for my birthday from my parents but I might want another one to get the barrel chopped to 3.5 or something. Yes I know rufer makes shorter GPs.

Do you think prices on used ones will sky rocket?

There are around 50 Ruger handguns currently on the CA roster. Looks like all have been renewed for next year except for 4 of them. The Match Champion is one that has not been renewed yet. Interesting.

Glad I got mine this past year.

If it does fall off, people had better be considering getting the GP100. Something I learned about guns in California a few years ago; if you see it at a gun shop and think you might want it, get it. If you have to think about it, it will most likely be gone and/or unavailable when you go back to get it. For crying out loud, I heard the HiPoint is falling off the list.

Look carefully at the roster there are two Match Champions. #01755 has adjustable sights and has not been renewed. #01754( KGP-141-MCF 01754 ) , listed just below on the roster, has fixed sights and has been renewed. Check these model numbers on the Ruger web site.

I have a #1755 in jail right now. That model was added to the roster within the last six months, so it seems unlikely they would drop it so soon.

Also, the new Ruger "Redhawk 05032 / Steel" 45acp/45 Colt was just recently added and is not renewed yet.

I hope these recent roster additions are just on a different renewal track at Ruger, but can't believe they would come and go within six months.

That clears it up, thanks alot, I am not a fan of adujstable sights, well not on selffdefense/hunting guns.
              Thanks for your insight.

Well, I stand corrected. Davidson's Gallery of Guns site shows the #1755 as "Sale Ends: 12/31/2015".

                  All,
Some good news, both Match Champion models are on the roster, I just checked (Jan 4, 2016), and both 1754 and 1755 are listed.

I just wish we could get a 3" model with adjustable sites, or the Wiley Clapp models w. the Novak sights (but there is SAE, I suppose...)
