Compact Single Stack Shootout..and the winner is...

Bought a new S&W Shield 9mm and went to the range. My wife and I compared it to our Sig P239. These are the only small (compact) guns we own now. Should not have sold the G30SF but that's for another thread. I strained getting a firm grip on the Shield. My hands are just to big for that gun and I think I need skate board tape on the grip. The grip was so small that I could place my second knuckle of my index finger on the trigger. My wife loved the Shield and she shot it better than she shoots the SP-01. Really! She never complained once about the Shield being too heavy and her arms being too tired. Looks like the wife gets the Shield. I definitely shot the Sig P239 better. The P239 was much more comfortable for me to shoot and I can hold it better to keep the muzzle flip to a 9mm minimum. The fantastic plastic:

I wonder how the LC9 would stack up against these.

I will take the glock 42/43 or the LC9S over the Shield anyday. I own all four. The Shield is collecting dust in my safe.

          True..shield very popular, but I prefer my G42 & G43 as well.

Is the Shield really a single-stack? I thought the magazine was staggered.

this is why I bought my XDs. I thought I was going to buy the shield, but then I got my hands on it and it just didn't feel right. It felt like a little toy, where the XDs, even though is almost the same dimensionally, felt much better in my hands.

Why not let it collect dust in my safe? [emoji2]

What I really want to see is a shoot out between a Sig P239, a Kahr K9, and a S&W 3913. Single stack, metal frame.

Seems to me you either want an all metal gun or a plastic gun...period. Everyone loves the 239, but does not like the weight. Guess what...it's all metal.

I bought a G43. Liked it . Then tought it was just ok. Shot it a little bit more , carried it for while and really liked it ! Bought another one two weeks ago . (They had a sale on them) This time with factory night sights. Both are super accurate all the way out to 25 yards with Federal 147HST ammo.
