My first/ second/ third cerakote job

So I decided to take the leap and cerakote my two handguns as well as my buddies glock 22, the first being my SA xd45 and second my RIA 1911cs, I think they came out fantastic with the h-148 burnt bronze. A few idiot marks from shakey hands but not big enough to notice. Any other cal gunner do their own cerakote? Or have the pros do it?

Yes I did, so far the paint seems rock solid once it's baked on

Everything seemed pretty easy, I had all the nessessary tools, but if I had name onr thing it would have been cleaning to get the oils out using an acetone bath and having to take sand paper to my guns [emoji13]

Looks good man! Yes I too do my own cerakote , I lucked out in getting a decent size lab oven and I got a blasting cabinet years ago. I enjoy doing it it's a lot of fun. Time consuming though. I sure do enjoy seeing others that do it too. They appreciate what goes into it.

I just finished my first cerakote job, I can't wait to start on my 1911! I bought a blasting cabinet from harbor freight for 82$ with a coupon and bought a huge toaster oven for 50$ from target. For the price I'd pay to have a "pro" do one rifle, I can now cerakote all kinds of stuff! I'm even doing the pulley brackets on my el Camino!
