Need some ideas

Hey everyone,

Im looking to get another pistol and i just cant make up my mind for the life of me. My budget is 600 tops and i want to stay 9mm. I already have a glock19 and started looking at the m&p shield then started looking at berettas and then i started wanting everything.

Its going to be range toy/HD.

Any idead welcome!

Glock 34, maybe something that is SA? Like a SIG p226 I think is the model, forgive me I'm not familiar with SIGs. I know they make a full sized SA gun, which would be a good range & target gun. Or you can build a Glock 34 race gun.

My suggestion would be to not limit yourself with a hard price like that. Obviously no need to pay $2500 for a limited ed 1911 when you can get the same "model" for less, but you get the point.

Pick what you want based on the quality and features, rather than buy what only fits your budget and then you end up maybe not liking it.

It will be worth the wait for a nice used SIG, etc. And maybe by then you will be able to spend $700 instead of making an impulse buy now.

So on that note, what's on your list?

I was thinking about holding off and saving a bit to open up my choices a bit but i was trying to get it before christmas. I dont really need to though. So far ive checked out the m&p shield but the hideous LCI is a big turn off. M9 is also on the list. One i really enjoyed holding was the HK P2000. Felt awesome in my hand and turners has a nice deal going on right now. Sig p2022 ive only shot in .40 and was nice. I can also get a deal on a ruger sp101 but i think i would rather go with a s&w 686 ( not 9mm but i would love a revolver). Not sure if i want another glock i kind of want to change it up a bit.

To me, Glocks, M&P's and XD's are all the same gun. Any yes I realize they are actually different, but they're all polymer striker fired. We're it me, I'd look to branch out into something a bit more diverse. Maybe a Sig P226 or a Beretta.

Or what else do you have? If you only have the Glock, I'd be looking real hard at a pump shotgun or an AR before another pistol.

Thats exactly what i was thinking. Got my shotgun first when i turned 18 and finished my AR earlier this year. Its time for another pistol

Ive thought about a cz as an alternative to the beretta ive only heard good things about them.

Take your Glock 19, buy a holster and mag pouch, join your local club, and shoot some IDPA. Way more fun than having another gun in your safe.

Got the holster and mag pouch but you are 100% right on that. Was actually talking to a buddy about it earlier today. Definitely on my to do list

I'd look for a good used CZ75B

For $600 you can get a Maverick 88 at Big 5 right now for roughly $224 OTD. With the extra cash you can look for a used Ruger Mk III.
