    kb on a revolver

    hello everyone. just wondering if there's anybody who experienced a kaboom using his/her/their revolver. care to share what happened? sorry if this has been asked before. thanks.

      i believe most kabooms are caused by squib loads or over pressure. i'm not actually sure if there's other cause. sorry for the general question. wonder if there's anybody who cares to share their experience with revolver kb's.

            Generally KBs in revolvers are the result of squibs getting stuck in the barrel or reloading accidents where the wrong powder was used or the round was overcharged.

              My uncle blew up an old titanium cylinder airweight .38 by shooting HOT loads through it (which he unwisely made for his 357 revolver).

              Pays to label your reloads- and stick tot he max pressure for each specific case.

                i hope your uncle's ok. i agree, too, that it pays to label different loads.
                was it just the cylinder that got kb'd? or was it the frame/whole gun? i've always thought that titanium was tough.
