    Ruger Mark III

I live in Los Angeles, and really want/need a Ruger Mark III.
So, I was wondering if a) Is it legal in California? and b) Where can I get it cheaply, but not used, and for how much?
This is the one I want...

    Look here:

The model number you want is on the list so it is legal.

Excellent choice.....I have the exact one, 1 month old

This model is not cheap. Expect to pay above $500 after fees locally. They have them at Turner's and Bass Pro.

Just keep your eye on the Turners weekly sales. The Mark III's are on sale every month or so.

Great gun for plinking and getting noobs to shooting an intro into firearms without scaring them to death. Nice choice.

              check out galleryofguns.com
search for the model you like, enter your zip, and see how much it would cost at your local small-shop dealer.

We added a red dot to ours, and now it's much more accurate and fun to shoot.

Exactly the model I have. Great gun. Love the Fluted Barrel, takes some of the weight off the longer barrel.

I bought mine durring a Turners Sale bought it in Feb 2008 for $469.

I have the Ruger MK III and love it. It is accurate and reliable. It is kind of a PITA the first couple times you clean it, but you get used to it.

I love mine (have that exact model) but the magazines dont work with this
My bf has the mark ii and that speedloader, love it, works so well with his, but they haven't made one to accommodate the mark iii's mag.

All excellent for Mk III but you will practice to assemble/disassemble. It took me 45 min for the first time!
