I'm a fan of CompTac International because it is printed on the holster what gun it is for and it created less wear on my gun than a Bladetech.

Blade Tech. I have them for 1911 and several Glocks though not for a PPQ.

I like the Tek Lok belt attachment.

If your running and gunning, get a holster with some type of retention besides friction. I just got a Safariland 578 GLS Pro-Fit and works great. Good solid retention but very fast draw.
The Model 578 GLS™ Pro-Fit brings the unique GLS™ (Grip Lock System) and SafariSeven™ together in a holster designed to fit a wide variety of guns. The Pro-Fit™ is customizable and adjusts to securely fit over 225 firearms. The 578 also features the GLS™, an innovative technology that automatically secures the weapon w

I have used the MI-Z1420 Polymer Retention Roto Holster a couple of times and I like it. it fits snug and after some practice working with it I can draw pretty quick

It comes with a paddle and belt loop. I don't shoot competitively but I do shoot to stay proficient and I like having some type of active retention. Extra peace of mind. Just my opinion. YMMV.

True that. But between work and kids, not a whole time left over for me.

Blackhawk SERPA. Fastest draw with excellent retention.

That is good info. However, my department has 1221 SERPA duty holsters issued and nearly as many off duty holsters. In four years do you know how many problems we have had with negligent discharges while drawing? Exactly zero. Our SWAT Team uses them and has had zero issues.

That is multiple millions of draws at the range and in the field (under heavy stress) without a a single issue.

I especially love the quote that says "Five out of 10 guys will have a problem." It is amazing Blackhawk sold and still sells a holster that is so dangerous. If they have sold 500,000 of these things, that means 250,000 people have had negligent discharges.

Anyway, I am going to put on my SERPA and go to work. Have a safe day, I know I will.

That's what I'm using for my PPQ. The paddle combined with a thick belt makes for a very solid setup. The draw is fast, but the retention is still good. I wouldn't use it for daily carry, but on the range and the occasional open carry where legal is where it works well.

OK you win. I hereby promise I will never again use a SERPA holster. They suck. [emoji2]
