I have never taken a striker fired pistol apart and NOT seen a gouged connector to disconnector interface.
Always polish at least that point of the mechanism before the first shot. Not to make it smoother, but to make it NOT eat its self up.

On my full size Glocks, the only mod I do is swap out the sights. On my compact Glocks, I also swap out the serrated triggers for smooth triggers.

I agree with the original list of mods with one recommendation, Trijicon HD sights.. Otherwise it sounds like GTG to me.

Replace only sights if you don't like them and just but lots of ammo

Sights are no doubt a worthy upgrade and there are some very inexpensive options. FO > Night Sights to me, because I usually shoot in the day.

Trijicon HD night sights on the left, Warren Sevigny FO on the right.

Ended up getting my Mepro R4E nigh sights today. If you shoot rifles and Like scope reticles you will like these sights. Sorry for the crappy pics.

FWIW, on my Glocks I replace, in this order

                  1. sights
                  2. trigger (I prefer Zev Fulcrum, but its pricey)
                  3. Grip (either stick on or stippling)
                  4. mag release (I prefer the vickers with a softer mag release spring wire)
                  5. I leave the stock slide release on because I have a very high weak hand grip that tends to activate the extended slide lock, but many really prefer the improved slide lock).
                  My vote:
                  1. Mags
                  2. Ammo
                  3. Shoot it

                  But I tend to oversimplify

Full hand smacking the hell out of the port side of the receiver. Trust me, that thumb can hardly find the little paddle when adrenaline gets going. Sure, you can do it a few milliseconds faster with the thumb technique at the range, but I always believed in training how I fight so as to avoid any confusion. Generally, it's worth the time to be sure you do it right the first time.

Fine vs gross motor skills is not a myth. I will stand by this as well.
+ 100..Sounds like you have had some training , my friend....Not only that, but it's about commonality of platforms. if in an emergency situation, you have to pick up a "strange" gun and use it to defend yourself, the act of gripping and ripping will work for 100% of semi autos..

Don't you think they are the greatest hits for a reason?
