S&W 686 sight options

I recently bought the 686 Plus Pro Series, which has a nice smooth trigger pull and I really enjoy shooting it.

However, since this is mostly a range gun, the black target sights do not allow me to get a good sight picture under indoor lighting conditions.

How would I find out what replacement sight options I have? I like the fiber optic and the tritium on my semi-auto pistols, but I can't seem to find out what my options would be for this revolving pistol.

That looks pretty nice. I assume that you replace the complete front sight and the rear sight needs no adjustment.

Make sure the replacement is the correct height, there are different height blades. I have a red fiber optic front on my 625, made it way easier to get on target.

Yup same front sight height so no change. Love these interchangeable sight. Just plug and play. No drifting or banging.

OP, I will assume that you are looking for a better sight picture because you are bulls eye target shooting? I have the gold bead front sight on my 627 PC but I have found that it distracts my vision while bulls eye shooting but is great for tactical style shooting because the front sight pickup is quick. The gold bead has too much bling for Bulls eye shooting for me. Try using a different color target instead. It's cheap to try.

Have you ruled out going to a scope, either a long eye relief or a red dot? I shot my 686 for a couple years with the iron sights but can hold much better groups indoors or outdoors with the red dot. Holds zero fine even with magnum loads. Wasn't hard to get the rear sight off and the mount on. Can always swap back easily too.

That scope is from Osprey Global a few years ago but it looks like its been discontinued.
A similar scope on Midway with 1" tube and "silver" finish which is basically unpainted aluminum but goes well with the stainless steel revolver finish.
