AR Pistol Max weight?

Good Morning,

Just trying to do homework on AR pistol build. Does anyone know the max
weight requirement/allowance on an AR pistol build?
A while back I was told by my FFL/Dealer that I had to watch my weight and have to come under a certain number in ounces.

I've seen a lot of pistols on this board that look pretty heavy. Can anyone shed some light on this subject?

The weight restriction was part of the federal AW ban.

Now I'm trying to buy one again through bushmaster. Not sure if it is legal,
Bushmaster is on the list and so is Professional Ordinance C-15.

Now it's BUSHMASTER C-15!! Technically it's not on the list or is it??? Man what an F'd up combination of names.
