    Sig Pro SP2022

I'm debating on whether to get an XD9 or SP2022 and wanted to know what comes "in the box" for the Sig?

I know with the XD9, I get a case, the lock, 3 mags, mag holder, and some other stuff. The extra magazines is a nice plus in my book...

    Thanks!

Most Sigs I've seen just come with 2 mags. They have a promo right now but don't think it applies to this model.

Sig2022 is such an underrated pistol. It's accurate, reliable, and fit my hand like a dream. Too bad most die hard Sig fan are also die hard alloy frame fan. Honest opinion, if you are going to pay $5~600 for a gun, just focus on that gun's quality and how well it fit you. All those extra parts are nice to have for free but the gun is the most important in the equation.

Just my $0.02, XD is a very good gun, I just can't shoot it as good as Glock or Sig pro.

Well, I've shot both (and like them both) and that's why it's coming down to this.

Still leaning towards the XD though, but the availability of parts is something I'm worried about.

If XD work for you, go with XD. I'm not sure where is the best place for XD parts but maybe you can ask on http://www.xdtalk.com/forums/.
For sig parts, the best place is http://www.topgunsupply.com/

Any more info on what else comes in the box?

              Case/box? Mag holders? Light attachment?

out of the box with the sig you will get
                -gun
                -2 mags
                -manual
                -some sig stickers
                -blue hard case

but more importantly you will get a better pistol.....

the first sig i ever shot was a sig 2340 (the old style sigpro) i love it so much i now own four sigs.

also what do you mean by light attachment? are you refering to a rail? cuz both come with that.

Technically not the rail, but the attachment that slides onto the rail.

                  Cable lock provided?

I won both the XD and SigPro2022. I like my XD, but the Pro2022 is phenomenal. I'd get the Sig Pro2022.

Yes it comes with a cable lock. Also all Sig Pros come with factory night sights installed. They do not come with a light or laser. Factory Sig Pro 10 rounds mags can be had for cheap $10-$12 brand new if you look around. get the Sig, GREAT gun.

When I bought my SIG Pro SP2022 in 9mm, it came with a box, a cable lock, (2) mags, (3) grips, a Warranty Card, Instruction Manual, a Sticker and a packet of Grease.

In my opinion, you should consider that either pistol is very different from the other. Fondle each pistol to see which one feels better to you. If they each feel equally nice, then look at the operation.

If you want a DA/SA pistol, then go for the SIG Pro. If you want a DAO pistol, go for the XD. The triggers on both are very different. The XD has a fairly light, smooth trigger pull. It is always the same and has a full stroke reset. The SP2022 has a smooth and light DA trigger pull. The reset is about half of what the XD is. The SA trigger pull is short, crisp and light.

If you are a revolver shooter, I would go with the XD. If you are used to shooting DA/SA, I would go for the SIG.

Both pistols are excellent! One just may fit the bill better than the other.

Note: I am a SIG addict. I would push you towards the SIG, but it would mean less SIGs available for my consumption.

Try them out too as well, I've always had a harder time handling the Sig Pro, if you hands are not that big, then I would go for the XD9. I'm a sig addict as well, but if you have issues holding a gun and shooting it properly what good is it?

Just called around and nobody has any Sig Pro's in stock or available for order. Apparently it's been discontinued! No used ones available either.

                              Dang...
