    Beretta Nano malfunction

Just a heads up for any current/potential Beretta Nano owners and to see if anyone else had had this problem:

A friend's Beretta Nano began to malfunction a short time ago by not locking the slide to the rear on an empty magazine. After taking the handgun apart/checking springs/etc it was determined that a small tang on the slide catch had broken off someway/somehow and was no longer being activated by the follower on an empty magazine. Beretta is taking care of the issue; I am not sure how the tang got broken in the first place (during cleaning/shooting/?) but something to keep an eye on for any Nano owners. I can post pics of the new/old part if anyone cares when it comes in.

Anyone else have the same problem?

I get mine out of jail Saturday. Would like to see pics if you can. How is Beretta fixing it, just sending a new part?

New part; Beretta as always was cool as a cat to deal with. It's a pretty easy fix; taking the frame away from the chassis looks kind of intimidating but if you go slow it's actually kinda cool. I'll post a picture when it comes in.

That is great news. I would not want to send the pistol back just for this, so very cool they will send the part to you. Some mfg don't want you messing with anything, and I always get nervous sending off roster pistols out of state for repair.

PS - Cabelas has grip frames now, free ship no minimum (5WINTER) and $30 before any discounts you can scrounge. They also have the hard to find FDE frame. With 10% Active Junky cashback and the 20% discounted gift card, I scored a FDE frame for $21 shipped

Realized I never replied to this thread.... Beretta made good on their word and shipped a new part out right quick. I made sure my friend took a pic and sent it to me of the new slide stop; I had forgotten about posting it until now. Anyways; again, if your Nano slide is failing to lock back this would be something very quick/easy to check (same goes if you are looking to purchase one used; check this part out).
