k frame question

I'm getting a 686-3 from another calgunner soon, and I was wondering if the K-frame can handle all .357 magnum loads. I probably won't shoot it much with the magnums mainly .38, but just for fun I would like to try it out.

686 is an L frame. Sorry, forgot to say that yes the 686 can handle .357 magnum loads quite well.

Smith came out with the 586/686 to pay homage to Colt and the Python.

While the Smith model 19 K frame is far and away my favorite wheel gun I wouldn't feed it a steady diet of mag rounds. In fact I don't shoot them at all.

L frames take K frame sized grips though.
