    TRP for me.

Well my buying spree continues. Im sick but in a good way. Got a TRP on Friday . Not in my hands yet. Got it from Buds. Black Friday on Buds was great. Thousands of items with the make an offer symbol. Picked up my TRP for 1,255.00. Started my bid at 1,225.00. They gave you 4 offer chances. Hit my deal on the 3 rd bid . How did I do ?

Pretty good price for a great gun. Is it shipping with the Cocobolo grips?

There is a back story on that model. Apparently only the version with the wood grips are CA legal and the newer ones with only the G10 grips are not CA legal. I did not understand this because the model number is listed on the roster but SA will tell you that they are actually slightly different pistols and only the wood grip model was submitted for approval. I assume that SA just reused the model number because the changes are not significant enough for a model number change but significant enough to not be on the roster because it is not the exact configuration that was submitted to the CA DOJ. I think there is a good chance that most FFLs will DROS this and no one will ever notice but it was a risk that I myself did not want to take. I actual found a full rail TRP just to avoid this issue.

I did a few SSE transactions with him last year. He never took the guns out of the case. I should be good to go.

This is why I asked. Technically it can be dros'ed based on the SKU but the box will probably come with a "Not Legal in California" sticker that some ffl's may balk at. I dealt with this when I bought mine. My ffl went ahead with the DROS based on the SKU.

Tried sending a PM but keep getting an error.

I did the transfer at The Gun Range in Sacramento back in January. Pretty sure most FFL's are going to be clueless and just DROS based on the SKU. I wouldn't worry if I were you, if they give you any ****, just throw on a set of stock cocobolo's. If you're near Sac, I have plenty you can borrow.
