And cz copies, EAA, Tanfo's... we'd see hk and sig more in uspsa if we could get vp9's, usp expert or p320 more readily here in CA.

I went to match with my buddy who lives in Boise and Vp9's were VERY popular followed by the p320.

Someone posts a thread about how they love their Glocks and people get in to huff about it.

Glock (esp. in 9mm) doesn't do everything exceptionally well. But neither does any pistol for that matter. What it does do is in terms of a fighting gun in areas that matter:

            - Durability
            - Reliability
            - Accuracy
            - Ease of Maintenance/Repair
            - Trigger
            - Shootability
            - Short Learning Curve
            - Weight
            - Compatibility among full size, compact, subcompact models
            - Parts/Accessories availability/cost
            - Relatively low cost of ownership for the life of the gun.
            - Proven track record
            - Customer Support by Glock
            - Easily and readily replaceable

In all those areas they are at the very least good to sometimes exceptional. Glock ticks off all those boxes. Some people can't shoot Glocks well and there's nothing to be said about that. You got to move on. Find something else. But for those who can it is a pistol that is lacking in virtually nothing except that irrational warm fuzzy feeling 1911 fans keep talking about. All other pistols HK, SIG Sauer, Walther, CZ etc. You guys are delusional. They're all fugly Euro trash pistols Glocks included.

Why anybody would even consider anything except for Glock, is totally beyond my realm of imagination. I do own an HK and some other brands, but nothing surpasses the Glock.

That is what I was gong to say.

Glocks are good guns, but there are guns out there that are better. i have owned several Glocks and I agree they are easy to work on and yes the parts are cheap. The several Glocks that I had gen 3's the FP spacer sleeve would brake, the good thing is it was cheap. Glocks do not compare to Sig or CZ, I have only fired the P226 in 40 and what a great shooting gun. I have not bought a Sig though, due to the slide release and decocker locations, and its just my personal preference, just awkward for me to get use to. They are great shooters and they handle the 40 well. I may still buy one but not yet. I love my CZ's great gun all around, yes the parts are not cheap, but the ones the need replacing are cheap, usually just springs on my original cz 75 from the 80s just a recoil spring after 30k rounds.
