    ADVICE Needed HK

Whats up CalGunners. I need some advise. I have been bitten with the HK bug ever since I first shot the USP. I currently have new in box HK45. I just picked up a USP45 Compact (10-day). I am slowly getting rid of most of my non HK firearms. Just my preference, sorry and please don't get mad at me. Lol... Well as most you might share the same problem, that we didn't get everything we wanted before SSE went away.

I am debating getting USP 9 (full size) and either going Match or Light LEM. I have always wanted the P30/P30L but I ate that I can only now get used guns at crazy prices. I like the idea of my pistol set up's being the same or having similar features. I have seen a few HK P30 for sale here and they run about $1100-$1300. I can get USP's for around $800-$1000.

I have been offered a trade for my HK45. Its my HK45 for a P30LS v1(light LEM) + $300-$400. Does this seem like a good trade? I hesitate because I do see more P30's for sale versus HK45's. I think it will he a lot harder to ever get another HK45.

I like the HK45 because it can share mag with the USP compact 45. Should I keep the HK45 and get some P30's or USP's. Or should I move my HK45 and go to a 9mm mostly set up.

Sorry for the long drawn out question. Thanks in advance.

I guess the main question for you here is, do you prefer to stay with 45 or go to 9mm.

So $1400 for a P30LS?! Bad trade. Keep your HK45.

I'd keep the HK45. I love having the mag compatability between it and my USPc. Just like my Glock 21 and 30.

Honestly I like the LEM trigger and 9mm.

If you're going for a hammer fired 9mm HK I would go with the latest with the P30.

Both are great firearms. Have you thought about getting a match trigger installed on the .45? The only sidearm I carry is my USP .45

You can also get 20 round mags for the .45

I suggest you buy 6, that way you should get at least 4-5 good mags. The promag 20 round mags are not too reliable, you get mostly good ones, and they are extremely reliable; then there's the one that gives you problems, I just shoot them with the shot gun.

I'm not sure what's worse; that you just advocated committing a crime by illegally buying high capacity magazines, or that you just advocated buying promags.

If you don't mind going compact the P2000 is very affordable and on roster. I have a V1 and V2 both in 9mm.

Instead of all the plastic, why don't you get an all steel HK? Namely any of the P7 series. Trust me, it's worth it.....

The HK45 and HK45c is imo the best all around 45 currently made

I would keep the HK45 and just buy a USP in 9mm. Then later get a USP 9mm compact. You may also want to search for a USP Expert 9mm through PPT

I'd save the hk45. I'd also just save up for the p30 if it a cash flow issue. You'll regret getting rid of the hk45.

Keep the HK45 unless he wants to go straight trade for the P30LS
