    9MM break in ammo?

Does it really make any difference what ammo I use for breaking in a new 9MM any advantage of 147 gr over 115 grain ammo?

Nope. Shoot different types and see what your gun likes and then buy that. Most people prefer 124>115

I prefer 147 or 124 for the first 5-600 rnds. Then it doesn't matter. With some new guns, weak 115 gives you trouble until it's broken in and then you can't be sure if it's the ammo or the gun.

Opinions vary but that's my preference.

Yup. My SP2022 struggled some when brand new with 115s. Went to 124s and struggling ended. Now after several hundred rounds, she takes anything with a smile!

Do glocks have this break in issue?

The hotter the ammo, the better the gun will run when new / tight
Same with heavier pill sin 9MM

Stick with factory new until you know the gun runs well. Other than that, whatever is cheapest that you are happy with.

Save the expensive stuff for your HD needs. Just run enough to make sure the gun feeds it reliably.

                  Enjoy!

sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.

My G17 took (and takes) everything except for the really, really bad reloads at the San Diego Police range. I don't know what makes me madder: that they keep selling ammo that bad, or that I keep buying it!

(Sorry, that wasn't really on topic, but I've been feeling that little rant building up for a while now, and thank you for listening.)
