    Alan Tanaka 1911 work.

So I was able to talk to Alan. What a nice man. He now has my Colt XSE. He said it will be 6-8 weeks turnaround time. Sounds great. Not sure why people think he is taking over a year right now. Can't wait to get my 1911 back. I will post an update when she comes back.

Alan does great work for a reasonable (I think) cost and turnaround. He does outstanding work on S&W revolvers also. A great big in my book.

Because that's what he told you if you called him last year.

6-8 weeks ain't bad at all, maybe my Colt Special Combat.gov will be going in for a little trigger and front strap work.

Just ordered an XSE myself. Looking forward to the update.

I've never had Alan do any real work for me, but I have been to his shop and met him (he looked over a pistol for me years ago), he is a really nice guy.

Alan is a very pleasant man to talk to. He's a very respectable person. I knew him when I used to live in SoCal shooting club matches from Piru to San Diego.

Just got my SA loaded back from Alan. He did an excellent action job and trigger was a crisp 3 lbs break. Also, when I was picking up the SA, he installed a fiber optic front sight on my Kimber as I waited.
He is getting busier and the wait is around 8 weeks, but worth it. He's very easy-going, very professional and does excellent quality work.
