    A month of rentals

The yearly membership at my gun range gives me free lane rentals and free firearm rentals, so I decided to see if the Beretta PX4 I bought was the right gun for me. Granted, I did do some hopping around and renting Xds, Glocks and other pistols before I put my money down, but that was two years ago and I wanted to see if anything I shot would change my mind. Every time I have gone out, I have grabbed a rental gun and shot it along with my Beretta. So far, nothing has come close to the PX4, IMO. Money well spent. Not to mention fun shooting other pistols!

That's cool. None of my local ranges have rental guns unfortunately.

I had a px4 once, I loved the balance and ergonomics but hated that mushy trigger. So i bought a kit and still couldn't get over it so I sold it. If only it was striker fired I'd have one chamber in 9 and 40.

Buy what you like, don't let anybody else tell you different. You don't buy Sony if you want RCA.

I didn't really make of list of likes or dislikes. It was just that the PX4 worked better for me in a lot of little ways. The Sig, Glock and XD are all nice pistols, and I may get one of each someday, but I kept comparing everything I shot to the PX4. After a while, the choice for me was an easy one.

Nice so you basically just pay for the ammo and you can shoot any of their guns? That's a nice deal. Guess the fun would kind of run out once you've shot them all though

Firing Line does. There are 3 locations - Burbank, Northridge and Huntington Beach. I believe the annual membership is $175 initial and $150 renewal
