    Glock Gen 4 Question

    Hi All,

Can I put the double spring setup from a Gen 4 model 26,into a Gen 3? Is it a drop in deal?

    Thanks

    Not really.
The Gen 4 is different than the Gen 3.

However, the Glock Gen 3 subcompact already use a dual-recoil spring system.

      On the non-subcompact Glocks...

The Gen4 recoil spring assembly is bigger than the previous Gen recoil spring assembly.
Which causes the Gen 4 to have different internal dimensions of the slide and frame.

The size difference makes them incompatible.

        Yes. Glock Factory Part # SP 02211 fits G26 G27 G33 G39, Gen 1 thru 4: http://www.ndzperformance.com/Glock-...lk-sp02211.htm

Glock goes out of it's way to minimize parts. E.g., they cut a slot in the G34/G35 slide to lessen the weight so they could use the same spring
        setup as the G17, G18, G22, G24, G31, and G37.
