What the "RMR" is revealing to you:
1) Your recoil control needs work -- you should not be losing the dot, particularly on a G34! If you are controlling recoil well enough the dot will not leave the window.
2) Either your "RMR" is not sighted in, or it's causing you to mash the trigger "right now" when the dot is on target (trigger control)
I found that the biggest value of RMR on a handgun is revealing bad habits that you can't see when using irons. After shooting with the RMR and fixing my recoil and trigger control, now I can hit torso silhouettes standing from 200yds, and my iron sight shooting has improves so I can hit those same targets out to 125-150yds.
Don't give up so easy, and be open to what the sight can teach you.
