What the "RMR" is revealing to you:
    1) Your recoil control needs work -- you should not be losing the dot, particularly on a G34! If you are controlling recoil well enough the dot will not leave the window.

    2) Either your "RMR" is not sighted in, or it's causing you to mash the trigger "right now" when the dot is on target (trigger control)

I found that the biggest value of RMR on a handgun is revealing bad habits that you can't see when using irons. After shooting with the RMR and fixing my recoil and trigger control, now I can hit torso silhouettes standing from 200yds, and my iron sight shooting has improves so I can hit those same targets out to 125-150yds.

Don't give up so easy, and be open to what the sight can teach you.

I will echo the purchase of some suppressor height opens. Consider a green fiber optic set of Dawson's. This way the front will contrast with the red dot of the Fastfire.
If you index off the front sight when at full presentation, you will find the dot faster. It should be just above your front sight.
Consider benching your handgun. Grounding the mag base on a table in place of a rest. This may help you in enjoying more of the benefits of one point of aim.
I use a point of aim and impact at 25 yards for my zero. This is achieved by resting my handgun through frame support and very careful trigger manipulation.

I saw shot groups shrink in half with holo use.

There are many who will agree Holos/Red dot use can make you a better open sight shooter.

Those types of sight enhancements certainly are no replacement for technique when shooting.

I have Leupolds, Trijicons and Burris series holos. I have gone as far as to get even a Smith SV melted for a Burris as a project gun.

        Yeah... I love them.

A hight count 3-4 will help with picking up the dot

They do take 500-1000 rounds to get the benefit out of the RMR
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Thanks guys, the way the Burris sets the iron sights are useless (both). Back to the range I go. Thanks for the input gentlemen. I thought my grip and management of the gun during firing was for the most part correct but some attention to detail may be in order.
