    Inter arms PPk value

    Hi,

What's the fair value of a excellent condition inter arms PPK not PPK/s in blued steel with box and everything? Is it a better buy than SW? Are inter arms PPK harder to find than PPK/s?

    Please advice.

    Thanks

I have a stainless Interarms PPKs and it is extremely reliable, well made, and finished.
I've read about numerous S&W PPK problems, so I would go with the Interarms.
Check the online auctions for price guidelines.
Origional German models would be the most expensive/desirable because people associate German with higher quality, true or not.

PPK in general are harder to find than PPK/S only because not as many people bought them. I don't know why that is, I'd love to have one. I don't get too wrapped up in IA vs SW, I'd take either one. If I could get original German I'd prefer that though.

I say around 6-8 hundred. Just need to find the right buyer.
We live in California, so price is all over the place, because it needs to come from in state, and ppt.

bought a interarms PPK in pristine condition with box, test target, manual etc everything that came when it was bought brand new for $475; seller also gave a box of 380 ammo.

is it a good deal? gun is like brand new.

              thanks

Interarms is better quality. $600 on the low end.
                  You got a good deal.

I'd say it's a very good deal @ $475. I sold one just as you describe for $550 five or six years ago. And it went quick at that price. I'd expect at today's prices one as you describe to sell in the $700 range.

Yes that's a good deal. PPK and all the walther models have a dedicated forum with lots of fans. My wife has carried one 20+ years now.

Seller was a very nice gentle man, his asking price was $550 but for some reason there was lot of interest in the gun from calgun members but it didn't sell.

That is a great price. I have an inter arms PPK and I'm always on the look out for another and disappointed I didn't find this one.

Heaviest double action pull out all of my guns. But it is such a good looking gun.
