Bought a custom 2 tle rl for about 1100, sold it for 850, jammer, loading and ejecting two to three fails per magazine, had that rust on barrel, sent it back, and when i got it back, it functioned good, but wasnt for me.

This was back in 2007 2008, the wait list was about 4 to 6 months.

I have well over 30K rounds through my old PRO CDPII and less than that out of my old Classic. Both are reliable and well built guns.

I don't have it anymore but I figured it ran well with the OEM springs. I didn't want to upgrade at the time, despite the added cost.

I have Kimbers and Springfields, as well as a few other brands. I've never had any problems with my Kimbers. If you want one OP get one.

I've got a Kimber TLE/RL II. It runs like a top, I must be lucky (being sarcastic there ;P)

Yes still a plastic MSH. My mag release is metal.

I had a TLE/RL II that worked flawlessly, it was my first 1911 and my second handgun, I shot it, my friends shot it, strangers shot it and it was perfect. Then I bought a Ultra CDP II that rusted in my safe and I currently have a Raptor II that fails to feed at least once per mag.

                    I don't like the OP's odds.

Never any major issues with any of my Kimbers. Of course little hickups seldomly, but if you shoot 1911's enough you will soon find out that hickups just happen. I've had hickups with Glock's, and M&P's too... If you shoot enough it will happen. Gold match II has 2,200 rounds through it.

My first 1911 was a Kimber and I still got it.

Only issues I've had were the crappy KimPro finish flaking of the frame and initial barrel rust.

The finish flaking off the aluminum frame may or may not be isolated to Kimber, but in Kimber's defense, they refinished the frame free of charge, paid for shipping both ways and did some other work on it while they had it pro bono.

The barrel rust is common problem with Kimber barrels and was solved by keeping outside generously coated in CorriosonX.

I would buy another Kimber without thinking twice. Actually I still long for a SS Raptor, to me the best looking Kimber they offer.

I just asked this question last week. I have the option to buy a springfield mc operator or the kimber stainless TLE/RL 2

Everyone voted Springfield. Many said Kimber will rust and springfield is better made. Many also stated Kimber have ejector problems.

I have had 6 Kimber's now down to 5, and I regret selling the one.

You should feel confident in buying one, or two, or more...

I have a Ultra, Pro and Full Size Raptor II's and a Pro Carry II, the one I sole was a Custom II.

I've noticed there's about twelve recurring threads on CGN. Kind of like listening to the radio and hearing the same dozen or so songs all day. This is one of them.

OP, I'll sell you mine if you'd like.
