If you can get the other screw out OK, try moving the grip plate counterclockwise to get the screw to budge a little. i had to do this on the other side of my 92. It only takes a little movement to get the ball rolling. Try using the next size up allen or torx bit if you have one to help it along. Otherwise, try tilting the metric wrench slightly in the hole to see if you can get it to bite like I did. You're not over-strong, the screws are way soft in the broach.

Forget the Dremel, the disk diameter, even a worn one, is too large go get down in there without putting a nice groove in your grips. Don't try it.

Should all suggestions fail, you'll likely have to grind/mill the head of the screw off. This will take specialized equipment and setup.

After you get the screw off and out and replaced, have a look at your hex drivers. Who made them? Are the edges at the end rounded off? Etc. Cheap hex wrenches are often poorly made, undersize, and without sharp, crisp edges and corners and will bugger up fasteners very easily.

The pistol looks like a total loss. If you decide to part it out I'll take it.

Kidding... all of the above suggestions are good. There are those that have buggered up a screw, and there are those who will bugger up a screw. It is inevitable.

Especially the screws Beretta sells. I have them in three 92's, and man, are they ever soft.

If at the end all fails. Use a LEFT handed drill to drill out.

I use JB Weld instead of super glue.

Is there any way I can remove this screw and get it replaced? I want to make sure I can take apart the grip, just in case I need to replace the trigger or other parts in the future.

Get a 12 point allen socket that's slightly bigger then the allen. Tapped it in enough so it will bite. And slowly loosen. HTH

Or you can use a small chisel and gently tap at an angle to knock that button head screw loose.

I would mask off the surrounding grip with layers of heavy tape of some sort.

Craftsman makes a tool like an easy out but it doesn't need to go in as deep. It looks and works like a reverse drill bit. Just go slow with the drill until it bites in and out comes the screw. The ones I have come in a set of 3 different sizes.

Using a small diameter (worn) cut off wheel cut a slot right in the middle. You can deepen it but hold it steady or that grip will get nicked.

Too risky. And I'm a pro at using small abrasive disks. (40+ years of experience.)

And people wonder why I only use flat-head grip screws.

I just use a left-hand drill bit. Unless it's really stuck, it comes right out.

Looks like the grabit and the craftsman kinda do the same thing.

                              Good luck.

Tried JB Weld'ing a hex wrench to the screw. Didn't worked. The screw is too tight. Just ordered Grabit. Gonna try it next.
