    $500 Gen 4 Glocks

Had a potential buyer haggling over the price of one of my guns, plus extras. 20% less than my asking price. He pulled the old "I can get Gen 4 Glocks for $500" argument. I basically told him to walk away in no uncertain terms.

Then I got to thinking... ARE they available for that price in Southern California???

Where are people finding $500 Gen 4 Glocks?

I'm a pretty nice guy. I try to price my sales fairly and be amicable during the transaction. I try to be an active contributor to the community. I'm not here to gouge anyone, but I also don't want to take a bath when I sell. Everyone should walk away happy, ya know?

But if Gen 4 Glocks are really $500, I've definitely been overvaluing my Gen 3s. Plus, I would go buy a Gen 4 in a HEARTBEAT!

Also, I'm going to get a million views with that title.

I've heard claims from people for cheap Gen 4s, but I have not seen any for less that $650 in the marketplace. Usually in the $700-$800 range.

If they ever show up around $500 they are gone in seconds. And it happens very rarely. If they show up at $600 they are still gone in minutes, and that price is also rarely seen. Unless you are LEO, you are not buying one for $500 or even $600 unless you just get lucky. $650 is the lowest you might see them more than a few times per year, and $700 is much more common.

Guys who know about $500.00 Gen 4 Glock deals are usually, "Glockless."

If you're one of the people selling a gen 4 Glock for 1000 dollars just because it's off roster, then yes, you are a price gouger and taking advantage of people. That's double what they are actually worth, and anyone who pays 1000 dollars for a Glock is off their rocker.
I haven't seen any gen 4 Glocks in CA for 500$, Gen 3's are 500$ brand new, 400-475 used.

He didn't say he could get it in SoCal at this price, right? He might have relatives out of state.

I recently paid 800 for a gen 4. And it wasnt bnib either, i dont make much money, and after mortgage and bills, i only have about 300 bucks for gas, food, and other things until the end of th3 month, i dont mind eating top ramen. i guess its all on how much you want it. When i sell my ppq, i will remember how much the glock cost me.

Not happening for regular people at $500, if Leo they should be paying below $500 with blue label pricing.

I hadn't considered LEO. That's reasonable, but for a non-LEO guy like me trying to sell Gen 3 Glocks, that's not a valid argument. As an LEO, why would you want a Gen 3 when they could get a Gen 4 for the same price?

If he's LEO, he can get them for the sub 400s with the blue label program and one with night sights for around 490.

what irks me are people selling p320s for well over a grand. It's nuts, but I guess that's what we get for being complacent with the ridiculous amount of proposed gun laws in the assembly and state senate that are put in front of the governor's desk every year.

The buyer was nice enough to point out all the people gouging for Gen 4s at $1000. I was selling a Gen 3 inside your stated used price range, so I'm not sure how that even applies to me.

Yes. For as long as I've been in this hobby, used Glocks go for $425-$475 on average. To me, that's the fair price range. This is just for the factory gun and mags, not counting any extra mags or upgrades. If you can haggle for less, good on ya. If you end up paying more, sweet jeebus, man!
