So let's talk glocktober

So just curious if anyone bought any glocks in October.

Is it me or most places "sales" bring there "sale" prices down to other stores non sale normal prices?

Store A,B,C place glocktober sales at 499 for g17,19,26,27, etc while normal prices for stores D,E,F already sell at 499 all year long?

Yep, hit the nail on the head, one of the calguns vendors has the g19 g17 currently on sale for 499. What were they going for before the sale? Before sse ended last year, a vendor locally here in sacramento had the gen 4s with the pistol bag promo for 525 with three magazines. I think a gen 3 can be substantially cheaper considering they are a magazine short and an older glock model.

Never heard of Glocktober though the name is obviously great for a promotion.
None of the LGS I frequent in San Jose have any mention of Glocktober.

See that's my point glocktober sales and the G34 is selling for $599 during a "special" sale. Other places have it year around price for 595.

For Turner's, the free range bag and hat are the special item for this week, makes it a good deal for some people. The prices are actually competitive (keep MAP in mind) this year.

Bought a Glock 26 4 days ago

Will be getting a Glock 19 some point this month. But has nothing to do with "Glocktober" as I didn't know that it was a thing. And I don't know where you guys live, but Used gen 3 Glock 19's go for 450-475 around here, I was just in a gunshop last weekend. 475 for a Glock 19 that had the finish worn off on the rear side of slide, looked like someone dropped it or bashed cinder blocks with it.

Please keep in mind that different stores buy from different sources and prices can vary wildly from distributor to distributor. Most LGS are not Glock direct dealers. Also remember that larger operations can buy more firearms at a time and secure better deals than you local mom & pop store. For some of them, $499 for a G17 IS a big deal to offer.

I always appreciate a deal but I appreciate good service from trustworthy vendors even more.
