Dan Wesson pointman 9 magazines

Looking for some extra magazines for a Dan Wesson pointman 9, would like some 10 round mags, but not sure witch ones to buy? I did some reading online and a few people said the Tripp 38 super mags were better than the standard Tripp 9mm mags. Was looking for somebody that has the Pointman 9 to chime in on this. Thanks in advance!

I've had good luck with Metalform mags. Tripp Research makes good mags as well. Dawson Precision (they're Metalform tubes and guts with a different basepad and higher price).

Metalforms are the least expensive, they work and they hold 10 rounds. Can't think of any reason to use another manufacturer, but it's your money, spend as you see fit.

My gun is a Springfield Armory Loaded Target 9mm. It's worked with the Metalforms, a friend's Tripp Research mags as well as the ones that came with the gun and the Springfield extras they send sometimes.

Tripp Research 9mm magazines are loved by people much more knowledgeable than myself. I love them too. Don't love the price though....gonna have to try some of those Metalform mags suggested above maybe...

Tripp Research is the way to go for .40 S&W 1911 mags.

But for 9mm, the Metalforms have been 100% reliable for me. That's 12 mags, over the past year using them at USPSA matches. They're not babied. I bought four at first to see how they worked, they worked great, bought eight more. Never had an issue. And if it's anywhere near your birthday, Midway has a sale price. I got the second 8 for like $21.00 each.

Only issue (if you'd call this an issue) is they're a pain to unload (unless you unload them through the barrel). Not a deal breaker to me, just something to consider.

I also use 10 round metalform mags in my sig 9mm 1911. They work fine with no issues.

I picked up 6 tripp cobra 9mm 10rd mags and I haven't had an issue yet. I ordered them from Harrison Custom and was able to get them finished in melonite so they are easy to differentiate between my 45 mags. This is the first I have heard of using 38 super mags with a 9mm for the point man though.

They're the best deal in town. Nice when inexpensive stuff works as well or better than pricey stuff.
