    HK bringing back the SP5K?

Found this on the HKpro forums...

I know this reported a few years back (2013), but hopefully they're making this a real push this time around(perhaps they see the success of the MP5 clones and Scorpion EVO/MPX)

That would be a fun gun. I hope it happens.

Bringing back? Sp5k would be a "new" model. They still make mp5s so it's not like they would have to make new tooling. I couldn't wait, built my own.

It won't be on roster and thus unavailable to the unwashed masses.

Pfftfft, not really impressive, I think hk is trying to jump start old ideas, I mean why revive the mp5K when they can distribute the g36 or ump9 or usc , that roughly cost the same.
But eh what do I know.

More mp5 clones out there then usc's would say otherwise..

They were supposed to start on the Hk 293 (civilian g36). I would buy one.
Somethings companies do doesnt make a lot of since to me. IF the public would buy it, even at its premium costs why would you not make it, and make a profit...

                  They reluctantly still make MP5s.
They are trying to wean customers off it and are encouraging them to adopt the UMP.
Which is one of the reasons why the UMP series is almost half the price of the MP5 series.
