    .45 Liberator reproductions

Can anyone think of a way to legally get one of these in California? I know originals are C&R, but they're also expensive and maybe not safe to shoot. Not that I would shoot one often if I had it, but still...

Looking at the flow chart, I'm not entirely sure that there's anything against it.

It appears that the rifled repro in your link may be a true single shot exemption.

It was originally built as a single shot.
If you need help with any stragglers, call a friend, because it's likely that they have a gun. America in particular have done exceptionally well taking care of the problem, as there are 1.12 guns for every 1 American citizen. So throw a rock, you'll probably hit a gun, pick up that gun, then shoot a zombie.

Well, I know. Does that make it legal to buy here in CA?

Would a sub caliber barrel insert like we were using for SSE suffice, or does it actually need a permanent longer barrel?

I know an original one is a straight up C&R, even with the smoothbore short barrel...

They originally made a CA version, I never got around to ordering one though.

                  huh.

So, that monstrosity, that defeats the purpose of even having one, is legal, but not the normal one?

I found that picture too, thought it was a photoshop joke, since it's not on their webpage... they list all their other discontinued models...

^^ If you think that long barreled version of the Liberator handgun in the picture is bad...

you should see the rifle version with it's monster grip , bullet button, arm brace stock and of course the potential of having a grenade launcher or a bayonet lug on the end of your barrel has also been outlawed in California.

Thank goodness the outlaws ( = the people who go to gun stores and legally fire paperwork on guns) can't have them.
                      We're so much safer,

                      right?

(Actually it would be great if the outlaws would ONLY carry something like that.)

It's the gun you use to get another gun!

Scatter them behind Nazi lines. Your partisan picks one up, reads the comic-book instructions, walks past the local German soldier, shoots him, takes his rifle...

...you mean they hid these all over the place behind enemy lines?

The Liberator was air dropped behind enemy lines the thinking was it would be used by allies to take a enemys firearm. The Liberator shot 45 acp. I believe the added bonus was they would very unlikey to be used by the enemy against our troops. I believe.
